Cupola Sizing Diagrams Based on Your Roof Size
These diagrams are designed to help you determine the proper size cupola for your building. A general sizing suggestion is a minimum of 1.25" of cupola for every foot of unbroken roof ridge line. For 2 or 3 cupolas use 1.5", and for 4 or more cupolas use 1.75".
Cupola for a 24ft Garage
For a 24' long building the recommended size of cupola would be 36" or greater. One diagram shows a 24" cupola which appears too small.
Cupola for a 36ft Roof Length
For a 36' long building the recommended size of cupola would be 48" or greater. This diagram shows a 48" cupola which appears porportioned properly.
Cupolas for a 60ft Roof Length
For a 60' long building the recommended size of cupola would be 72" or greater. A 72" cupola appears large enough but two 48" cupolas seem to be proportioned better.
